(no subject)

Yesterday was a bit of a nightmare - sale almost didn't go through. Ended up it wil go through on Monday, but new people are in a hotel until then as they'd already given up their keys to their old home. I did offer them the keys to stay in the flat over the weekend as my house-guests, but by the time I found out about the shitstorm they had already put their stuff into storage and can't get a van again until Monday :-(

(Estate agent advised me not to do that, and Solicitor said "we did not have this conversation!" when I mentioned it to them - aparently insurance would have been an issue if the place had burned down, and "possession is 9/10 of law" they might have said "we're here now - whislte for your cash" - I didn't think they would do that though, and it was worth the risk. As it turns out they weren't able to take me up on it anyway, but meh.)

Redundancy is covering a lot less than I thought, but still able to cover the fees. Just. Other bills may need to be negotiated, but if I get a job soon should be fine.

Speaking of which... I've applied for the perfect job IN READING!!! Please keep me in your prayers/good thoughts to get it!
