in ther news...
Jul. 11th, 2006 11:15 pmIt gets dark way too early down here! Went to Asda tonight, and coming back at around 10pm it felt like midnight... was a little unsettling!
Will be good in winter i guess :)
I think Ian and I are going to be good together - we completed a DIY project together without any arguing! So by the end of the day Lizzie had a new bed and we were both knackered, but all is happy :)
Commuting is a pain, but liveable-with.
Did I mention Ian is wonderful?
Bought 10 trek books at second hand book shop - one of them is by Laurell K. Hamilton (who wrote Merry Gently & Anita Blake books). Was highly amused by a couple of things in it (spoiler) ( Read more... )
Last ep of Dr Who was great - I do think it would have benefitted from being spread over 2 episodes though, as I think the cybermen-daleks situation deserved more time.
I love David Tennant. I've been a fan for about 12 years now. when I heard he was going to be the Doctor, I was bouncing so much! (Campbell Bain in the tardis!) Unfortunately, "Takin' over the asylum" - probably the best series the BBC has ever produced - has some licencing difficulties preventing its release due to some of the covers of music used in it. It is truely wonderful, and if you ever get the chance to see it, grab it with all 4 limbs and hang on! (And then let me know...)
I've started knitting again. Mainly because Lizze wanted to learn, and then it got me going :) I'm knitting a doll at the moment. It's very relaxing, and doesn't take as long as I thought. Ian got me lots of supplies so I have all colours of spectrum to use now. Mind you, downside is I got distracted with it at lunch to day and forgot to eat sandwiches...
There is probably a whole lot more I need to update, but that'll do for starters!
