more books...
As promised, one I like!
Or 4 I like and 1 I'm in the middle of readin.
The Wit'ch series. it's 5 books, all of which start with warnings from people who are introducing the previously forbidden texts. The texts are stil forbidden, but the idea is now to make them a thin that some can study & persuade everynone else that they're boring - banning only makes the scrolls interesting.
It starts with the warning that the author is a liar...
This series is really good. UI'm enjoying it a lot, and I don't usually like the high-fantasy setting. There are some lovely parts in it, recurring, realistic characters, a real feelin of the darkness of the enemies, and the knowledge that the author could easily kill off any of the party increases the tension.
It's well-written, nicely plotted, with enough twists & good characterisation.
Just starting the 5th and final book in the series - can't wait!
